Property developer FLC Group on Thursday started construction of FLC Legacy Kon Tum, the first modern urban area in the Central Highlands region.
The area is located on major routes Truong Chinh and Tran Nhan Tong, easily accessible to National Highway 24 that links Kon Tum with other Central Highlands provinces and the south central coastal region.
Covering 19ha, it will accommodate shop houses, boutiques, high-end hotels and apartment buildings, schools, parks, an entertainment area and a shopping centre.
Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony, Nguyen Van Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and chairman of the People’s Committee said the project would improve people’s lives in the province, creating momentum for the locality’s real estate development. It would also promote trade, service and tourism activities to suit the province’s development orientation.
He added that the province expected FLC Group would study to invest into potential areas such has developing urban areas, trade, service, tourism and hi-tech agriculture in the province. They would facilitate the group in implementing projects.
Earlier, FLC started construction of FLC Quang Ngai resort complex in Binh Son District, the central province of Quang Ngai on a total area of 1,026ha at an estimated cost of around VND11 trillion (US$478.2 million) and FLC La Vista Sadec in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap. — VNS
